Steamboat Springs is an amazing place to visit either in the winter time or the superb summers. I went during the winter skiing season and was able to stay at the beautiful Chateau Chamonix. This resort has the best ski-in / ski-out lodging experience Steamboat Springs has to offer. All I had to do was walk outside my condo and walk over to the slopes.

I had to ask around a few times to locate the best place to have hamburger in town but I finally found it. You have to go to Rex's American Bar and Grill. The ambiance is perfect for everyone and the burgers were HUGE with spicy fries. My wife liked them so much she had 2 while the kids were smokin hot with the fries.

We headed to the slopes after lunch and it was great to feel the fresh cold air. It must have been about 20 degrees out with a wind chill of 5. Be careful if your going down the famous blacks as they are real tough.... I wiped out at least 10 times on the way down. I stayed with the blues the rest of ... more
