My Perfect Weekend...

What do you want to do this weekend? I don't know, what do you want to do this weekend? What are our friends doing this weekend? I don't know, but I'm calling to find out. That is how the conversation started and the Perfect Weekend came about.
Our friends said they didn't have anything in particular planned and really wanted to do something that would get them out of the apartment and outside. That's when someone in the group said, 'Let's fly to Steamboat and ski this weekend.' So we called and booked a non-stop flight into Steamboat and we began our weekend with our best friends and their kids.

It wasn't the hassle of getting ready for a ski trip that you might except. This weekend was a breeze from start to finish. We booked the flights and reserved two very clean and beautiful condos side by side. This allowed all of us to be together when we wanted and still be able to have our down time alone.

What was perfect about the weekend was really being with our kids (ages 10 and 11) and our friends and their kids who are similar ages. Then it was Steamboat itself that made the weekend - there was more to do then we could possibly try to experience, but we did our best in four days.

All of us were excited to try the new thing, SnowBiking! It was more fun than we ever expected. I think the kids just thought it was fun, for us older kids it was a new concept and skill to get the hang of. This is definitely something we'll come back to Steamboat to do.

One evening we took a sleigh ride to dinner. It was magical. We took the gondola to the where the sleighs were waiting with magnificent horses hitched and readied to take their passengers. The stars were bright, but we knew we were in for snow because the cloud cover was beginning to amass. We arrived at Ragnar's for a most delicious dinner of Scandinavian fare. After a filling and delightful dinner with all we bundled up under the covers and were driven home by the elegant horses while a gentle snow fell.
It is was a perfect evening.

An interesting place to dine is a place called Chaps. There you can get a really hearty breakfast in a Cowboy decorated atmosphere and start you day on the slopes strong or if you're someone who likes to walk around the town you'll have plenty of energy to do it.

Mostly, Steamboat brought our family and friends a lot to enjoy by being a hospitable town with a lot to do outdoors!

My recommendation is to book a flight to Steamboat this February 11, 2010. You can have a Valentine Weekend with your loved ones in a Perfect Spot!
